# The company behind Tensel

Tensel is published by La Française du Logiciel, a sole proprietorship registered in Strasbourg, France. One company, one jurisdiction, and a register of everyone else involved.

## Who publishes the service

La Française du Logiciel is registered under SIREN 942 561 762, at 6 rue des Frères Eberts, 67100 Strasbourg, France. Vincent Wendling is the proprietor and the publication director. The full registered details, including the SIRET and the EU VAT number, are on the legal notice.

## What Tensel does

You connect a GitHub repository and push, or upload a folder from your browser. Tensel detects the framework, builds it, and puts the result online with HTTPS, a domain, logs, metrics and one-click rollback. Applications run in a serverless container of their own. Static sites are served from a European content delivery network and are never billed.

## Where it runs

Applications run in Paris, in the fr-par region, on infrastructure operated by Scaleway. Platform data, meaning accounts, configuration and logs, lives in the same place. Static sites are delivered from European points of presence.

## Why that matters

A French company is subject to French and European Union law. We do not use services owned by United States corporations in the path your data takes, because those fall under the CLOUD Act. The one exception is GitHub, which is optional and disclosed: turn on auto-deploy and your source code and webhook deliveries pass through it. Every other supplier is named on the subprocessors page, with its location and what it handles.
