Frequently asked questions
Netlify Pro is cheaper. Why pay €49?
Often it is cheaper, and if everything you run is static files and functions, Netlify Pro at $20 with unlimited seats is a fair deal. The €49 buys different things: EU jurisdiction end to end, €49 of usage included, containers for real backends, and apps that stay up at the spend limit instead of pausing.
Can I bring my Netlify forms?
Tensel has no form product. A form needs a backend here: a small container endpoint you own, or a European form service. If forms are central to your sites, that is a real reason to stay on Netlify.
Netlify can run functions in EU regions. Is that not enough?
It moves the compute, not the operator. The company remains a US processor under US law, its subprocessors are US companies, and EU transfers rest on the Data Privacy Framework. On Tensel the operator, the region and every subprocessor are European and documented. Whether that distinction matters is exactly the decision this page exists for.
